Removed Seat Belt After Being Pulled Over, Cited for Not Wearing a Seat Belt
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Mississippi

I have read through the posts on the board regarding this already and just wanted to see if any new information had come to light or similar experiences and how it was dealt with. I was pulled over after passing a patrolman parked on the median of the highway. When the officer got to my window he stated I was not wearing my seatbelt. When in fact, I had been wearing my seatbelt from when I got in the vehicle to when I passed him and still had it on when he stated this to me.
I was in shock to even really say anything back to the officer when he told me this. I then received the ticket for the seatbelt violation.
Now I understand just going to court and saying that I was wearing the belt is not going to change a thing, but has anybody contested these and has anything worked? It's not the money that matters, just the principle that I can be ticketed and fined for something I didn't do.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

I expect that the defense has worked for somebody, somewhere, but that wouldn't have any bearing on your defense.
