Visitation Rights
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: California
My ex-wife lives in Oregon, it was agreed upon when she moved that I would have the children during their summer break. I have tried contacting her via telephone and registered mail in order to make arrangements for the summer visitation time, she has not responded to any of communication attempts. What can I do to enforce my visitation rights?

Re: Visitation Rights
Was this s VERBAL agreement between you and mom, or is this agreement spelled out in a court's visitation order? It makes a HUGE difference. What you can ENFORCE is limited to what's spelled out in the court's order.

Re: Visitation Rights
It is part of the court ordered visitation rights. It is spelled out that I have summer vacations since they have moved out of state.

Re: Visitation Rights
Could you please type word for word what it says about visitation in the summer? *minus names*

Re: Visitation Rights
And, let us know if there is any provision in the order about notification of changing residences, etc. Are you having any other contact with the children? Telephone? Email? Internet? Anything?
How long ago was your last contact with either mom or the childen?
Personally, if I'd been trying to contact the CP of my children and hadn't been able to do so for some period of time, I'd be asking local law enforcement to drop by to check on their well being. If nothing else, the peace of mind is worth the call if contact is made, and on the other hand, if the officer reports back that the place is vacant, that'll be a clue as to why no contact (although obviously creating additional issues).
