Got Caught Shoplifting, but the LP Took Very Little Information
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California.

So, I was caught stealing something at rite-aid for 22 dollars. When their LP guy was geting my info, I told him I didn't have my ID on me, which I didn't. I also told him I didn't know my SSN. So all he got from me was my name, an old address (I don't really have a permanent residence), my DOB and a description of me.

So, should I be worried about getting the around 200 dollar ticket he said I would get? And how long would that take to get in the mail?

Also, would there be a way to find out how much the ticket is online or over the phone? Google yielded no results.

More additional info, one of the LPs took my photo.

Given the information you gave, neither the police nor Rite Aids lawyers should have much problem finding you.
The civil demand letter comes from a company that appears to be lawyers but acts more like a collection agency.

You know what can happen with giving that false address? The store was nice by not calling the cops and filing charges. However, they can still do that....and they might be pissed off enough about that false address to forward the info to the police for review....
