Regarding H-1 Transfer while outside US
    Hi,
I am a new member to this forum.

It would be really great if anyone could answer my query written below.

I am working for company A's India office now. I have an H-1 visa from Company A's US office valid till December 2006. I have been working in India for the past 1year after returning back from US last year.

My question is, can another Company (say Company B) file for transfer of my H-1 while i am still in India?
If it is possible to transfer my visa, what documents shall i need while i enter US again?
Can Company B apply for extension of my visa along with transfer?

    Thanks in advance,
    Brit.

I don't think it is possible to transfer an H1-B when you are outside of the U.S. - I suggest you consult an immigration lawyer.

Do you think that i can get legal advice here in India regarding this?

Does anyone in this forum know of any firm that can give me this advice?

    Thanks in advance,

I would try contacting a lawyer through an organization such as AILA
