Divorcing an inmate in prison
I live in Georgia and I have a friend he is much older than me but he has a set of twins which are three. His wife has been in all kinds of trouble bad checks drugs, etc. She has been to rehab gotten out for a second chance still done drugs even though she was pregnant again. Well now she in prison which leaves custody of the boys to him. I have a few questions concerning that matter.
1. How would he go about divorcing her?
2. If she want sign the papers, Can he still get a divorce?
3. I heard that you can divorce them if it runs in the newspaper for so long and they will still be married to you but you are divorced from them, is that true?

My response:
He can divorce her just like any other married people get divorced. All because she's in prison, doesn't change how it's done. As a matter of fact, it's easier to do because he knows where she is to have her served with the Petition.
