Caught Shoplifting at 16

My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida
i am 16 and was caught shoplifting it was 10 dollars worth of merchandise and i want to know if this will affect me getting into a good college i still have a 4.69 gpa and extra activities and i want to know what will happen with the legal procedures will this stay on my perminent record?

so colleges wont see this charge or will they still be able to view it?

If you get a deferral, colleges won't see it.

I am always amazed at smart people that don't think about the long term consequences of stealing until after they are caught... then all they want to know is how to avoid taking full responsibility for their actions.

A deferral means that if you complete all the parts of your probation that the crime would be removed from your record as if it never happened.

Basically, you are not convicted until you fail to complete probation.

hey im on the same page as you i got cough shoplifting as well what happened when u went to court..im a little sacred of whats going to happen it would help if you told me what happened.
