Quoting sablesadie
I recently was charged with Petty Larceny from Kroger in Roanoke, VA a week ago. The next day, I spoke with the store manager and apologized, offered to perform community service on the grounds of the parking lot, and pay for the merchandise that would have been taken (Total $28). I admitted to being stupid and immature. I followed up with a letter the next day asking that she drop the charges. Today, I received notice that she has put in a call with the Asst Commonwealth Attorney office to have the charges dropped. The store manager advised me that it is now up to the attorney to drop the charges and that she should have an answer by early next week. What do you think the outcome will be? I have a CLEAN record with absoultely no prior convictions. I am in college and a legal professional. I acted out of poor judgment after a night of partying.
Thank you,
