Can Opposing Counsel Contact a Defendant by Email
My question involves a marriage in the state of: California
I would like to know if it is legal for the petitioner's attorney to contact a defendant by email, in a divorce proceeding, to obtain the defendant's current address, in order to serve the defendant papers?
Re: Legal to Contact by Email
Of course it is. The plaintiff's attorney can ask many things via phone call, email, whatever.
Unless of course the defendant also has an attorney. Then the rules may change.
