Passing a Bad Check

I have received a letter from the County Attorney say I owe x amount due to a bounced check. All information sent was sent to my old address and I just got it and I only have a few days to pay before criminal charges can be filed. I can not pay late or ask form and extension. What should I do?

Pay it? Have you contacted the prosecutor's office about it to see if you can make a good faith payment? Depending on how much time you originally had, they may think you've just blown it off. If you can prove the address snafu to them, they might work with you. No promises though.
