Wrong Father on the Birth Certificate
My question involves paternity law for the State of: Michigan

Myself and the presumed father of my child signed an affidavit of parentage when my son was born at the hospital. Two months later a paternity test determined that he was not the father. His name is still listed on the birth certificate. However the man that is the biological father would like to have full parental rights and him and I are now married. How do we remove the orginal father off of the Birth Certificate and add his biological father? The DNA test that we had performed was done so it would uphold in court, what is our next step and can this be resolved without an attorney?

    How old is your child?

(How do you know that your DNA test would hold up in court? Was it actually court-ordered?)

the child is now 4, his biological father and I have been married 3 years. When we had the DNA test done there was two different kinds available, we were told, one not being able to hold up in court necessarily and a second notarized DNA test that would. Not sure the truth to that of course however at the time thats what we were told.
