i have a huge prob. i found out that if i pursue my divorce in FL, the judge will rule my husband's abuse as a mere marital fight since i stayed with him, and even had another child (though he forced me to become preg.) apparently the judge will give him unsupervised visitation and allow him to take them wherever he wanted, regardless of the fact that he'll abduct them to his country. so basically the judge wont care about me.
if i pursue these issues in MS, i'll be granted custody, but im not a resident at present. i'd have to wait 6 months to become a resident, and only then would i be able to pursue, but he could easily start the process himself in FL during that time, and then i wont be able to do anything, i'll have to watch helplessly as my children are handed to him on a silver platter.
cant MS go ahead and hear my case, considering the circumstances, if indeed they care about helping me to not lose my kids. i was born and raised in MS, was married there, and 2 of my kids were born there. my whole family lives there. so, also, it would be difficult to do all this in FL, since i have no job, no driver license, no car, and no family or even friends to support me. this is the only way for me to not lose my kids. surely they can go ahead and reconize me as a MS resident-plus its not like im gonna be leaving MS any time soon (if ever), once i move back there.
