Juvenile Record and Adult Record Expungement in Oregon
My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Oregon

When I was 16/17 I was put on probation for theft of a computer hard drive from my high school, in 2000. I paid restitution ($350) and did community service. I am quite sure this was a juvenile conviction(don't know if conviction is appropriate for juvenile).

In 2004 I was convicted of Theft II.

I have no other criminal records since then. I am asking if I can get the 2004 conviction expunged, or if I have to wait 10 years because of the juvenile record.

    Thank you for your time.

The expungement statute says "conviction" and, from what I can see, Oregon follows the practice of having "adjudications" in juvenile court. I would ask the court to follow the letter of the statute and regard you as having no prior adjudications, on the basis that if the legislature had intended to include juvenile adjudications it would have referred to both.
