Permanent Support in Louisiana
I have caught my husband of 19 years cheating, not only did he cheat but while he was telling me he needed some time alone because of the guilt he has over his parents death and was supposedly living in a rent house I find out he has really be living with "her". He started halving his check with me and hadn't been home in 3 weeks. We decided for me to quit my job making $30,000 a year seven years ago to have and raise our child. I feel he has basically abandoned us and even though I am getting money I am left will all of the bills including the insurance on the truck he is driving which is in my name. The amount of money is not enough. What do I need to get as much alimony and for how long until I can get a job or a degree to get a job to support myself and my son?
Re: Permanent Support in Louisiana
Consult a divorce lawyer. File for divorce. Ask for temporary spousal support through the divorce process, and for remedial or permanent support (depending upon the full facts of your case) as part of the final judgment.
