The father has no job, no income and no place to live. He's a habitual alcoholic and has been charged with neglect 4 times, 2 times with the children we are talking about.
He hasn't paid for child support on these children that we speak of and the guardian pays for everything! Can the guardian file for child support and would that be a good thing now? I know she'll never get anything from him cause he has no job. He free loads here and there. He's well known in town and everyone sees that he was living off the mother. While she worked.
Thanks for the help.
Since this father has never paid any child support and can go for weeks and even months without seeing these children. Can the guardian request back support?
I mean these children have been with the guardian for 4 years and not once did the parents try to get them back. Could that go against him also? I think once or twice he threatened the guardian that if she requested child support they would take the children, so she didn't. But I think that is just wrong. She dearly loves these children like her own. She raised them since they were 5 months old and will be 6 years old this year yet. What can she do? She's the one that will be affected along with these children because they bonded with her not their parents.
