I Do Not Know the Insurance Company's Name and the Policy Papers Are Lost
My question involves insurance law for the state of: Illinois
I am one of two beneficiaries of the accidental death insurance of my aunt. She was an American citizen who worked as a nurse at a government-run hospital in Chicago, Illinois when she paid the insurance plan. She died on the 26th of March 2010 in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines. I'm having trouble claiming the insurance benefits because I do not know the name of the insurance company. Also, I and the other beneficiary (both Filipino citizens) cannot find the policy papers. Is there any way to find out the name of the company with these details? Maybe an online database is available to consult? I intend to contact the company to claim the insurance benefits.
Thanks in advance.

There is no database such as you suggest that I am aware of.
If this was purchased through her employer, you might try contacting them. If it was totally independent, you may have to comb through a lot of banking records to try to find what company she made payments to.
If you are a beneficiary yet you do not know who issued the policy, how do you know you are a beneficiary?

You said this was an accidental death policy. Did your aunt die in an accident?
