    Emancipation in New Jersey
My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: New Jersey

I am a 17 year old living in New Jersey, and I have about 8 months before I turn 18. I have an offer to go into a major radio broadcasting company and work for them as a host, with a 100,000 dollar income, for a 6 year contract. My parents do not want me to complete school online, nor do they want me to go into this business. I believe it is in my best interest, and in the interest of my career, to do this. Obviously on a 100,000 dollar a year income, I can support myself quite well enough. Is it possible for me to be emancipated? Thank you.

You have to already be supporting yourself. If this company is so gung-ho to sign you, they should be able to wait until your graduate high school and/or turn 18. Maybe by then you could convince your folks to support you. If not, once you're an adult you can go your merry way.
