    Next Step After Settlement
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Oklahoma

To make the long story short, I am going to say that I was sued by a collector, and after doing my homework, I was able to answer the lawsuit very adequately, to the point they are now asking to settle.

Now that we agreed on an amount, how do I make sure that after I pay them they don’t come back with some weird stuff and ask for more money, or some creepy charges?
I guess what I am asking is what paper work should I ask for before I pay them, so I won’t never get another call from them?

    Thanks

Negotiate to make your payment conditional upon entry of a dismissal with prejudice.

Thanks for the help. So it would be them filling paper work for the dismissal with prejudice for the case, is that right?

    thanks again.
