How to Find Start Date of Credit Card Debt for Statute of Limitations
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Florida.
How do I find the date that legally begins the Statute of Limitations for that debt? This is for a credit card issued by Capital One FSB.
Is there a website or service that can help me with this.
    Thanks in advance

When did you default on the debt? That would normally be when the cause of action accrues.

TransUnion or Equifax reports will tell you the "date of first default"..... that led to the event (chgoff etc). That is the date that technically starts the SOL clock ticking..... and will not be displayed to you in the third party credit monitoring sites. And like the above answer it "should" match your records of the month/year you first defaulted.
