Do California's overcrowded jails mean lesser sentences
I live in San Jose,CA(Santa Clara County) & I heard on the radio the other day that because the jails are 200% capacity & overcrowded that anyone who got sentenced for under a year(say for like shoplifting) that they would only do 2 days in jail.Is this just a rumor or is it true?

It sounds like an exaggeration. If you Google a bit, you can probably find some news articles which detail the facts.
