    Cited Twice for Registration Sticker
My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: California

    Hi,

This past Wednesday, I got pulled over by CHP because I forgot to put my sticker on my plate. So I got a fix-it ticket for $25.

This morning, (Saturday) three days later, my car was parked outside my home and there was a parking citation from the city I live in for the same offense.

Can I contest the second citation because I've already been cited, and only three days before that?

Thanks for any help and advice.

did you cure the offense or did you refuse to put the sticker on which is required to "fix it"?

What code section were you cited for? What city/county did this occur in? What does the back of the citation say with regards to registration violations and how you can contest them?

In answer to your question, the fact that you were cited for the same violation by the CHP a couple of days prior is not going to invalidate the citation.

it would have taken you all of 2 minutes to put a sticker on your tag. Are you that lazy that you could not take the time to do this? If so, maybe you deserve the 2nd ticket. And each subsequent ticket if you continue to ride around without the new sticker on the plate.

You can be cited every five minutes until you fix the violation if a bunch of officers and code enforcement folks wanted to make a point. I hope you've corrected it by now.
