Will Checking "Refused to Work" Get Your Unemployment Benefits Terminated
My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Tennessee
The other day, filling out my weekly cert., I had to check the "refuse work, get fired, etc" box since i quit my job working ski lifts due to the 10$ daily commute when I was bringing home about 30$gross a day, and if there wasnt snow, usually I wouldn't be called to work; so when i did work I had to drive my 97 mustang [worst winter car] about 30miles sliding all over the road and my one wreck that cost me 500$. So I decided I'd be better off getting another job before the season was over and i'd get laid off again, and use up the rest of my unemployment while still working. So does anyone know if I just screwed myself out of any income or what I need to do?

Depending upon the amount of your benefit and full facts, it's possible that this will cause the termination of your benefit or that you will now only receive a partial benefit (if you continued to receive a partial benefit due to the wage differential when working the ski lift job).

well I finally got a hold of customer support [ who apparently dosent know anything ] and submitted my information as to why i quit and now I'm waiting 6-8 weeks for a response. So in my case you think I'll get partial benefit? I was getting the maximum benefit before and only had the job i quit where i made about 600-700$ a month
