Landlords Suspected of Entering Apartment Without Notice or Cause
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Pennsylvania
Someone is coming into my apartment and opening windows that were firmly closed/latched when I am not there. Nobody has access to my apartment except me and the landlord, and so I am pretty certain it is the landlord coming in and opening them on purpose (maybe to increase my heating bill, as it's happening during particularly cold periods).
I am wondering if I should deliberately try to catch them in the act by putting up security cameras (as this is the third time it has happened in the past few months I can assume it will happen again?) or should I just contact them and demand the locks be changed/break out of my lease? I am not only seriously concerned for my privacy (for all I know they have cameras somewhere in my apartment watching ME), but this infuriates me as it is such a violation of my privacy.
What would be the recommendation on how best to proceed from a legal standpoint? My lease is nearly up, though I am honestly more interested in perhaps catching them in the act and reporting it to the police as I worry if they are doing this to other tenants as well.

There's no reason you can't install a "nannycam" of some sort for your apartment; I suggest recording only video (not audio) to avoid any possible implication of eavesdropping statutes. I assume you don't have roommates; if you do, make sure you have their permission and respect their privacy.
