    Presidential Pardons in Malta
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Malta (Europe)

To keep this short as I am not sure if anyone can give advice out of the US. But I would still appreciate any help I can get.

A friend was convicted to 10 years in prison this morning for drug trafficking. I just can't sit by and watch him go down especially when we have proof from a number of psychiatrists that he was suffering from psychosis as the time. First time offense and 6 years later still clean. I have asked a few questions and it seems the only way I can help is to try and help with a presidential pardon. I was thinking of starting with a petition outlining the fact that he was not sane when he committed the offense. Waste of time?

About 250 pardons are given in Malta per year (Population approx 450K)

I can probably get 100K petitons over a year

As you were told when you posted, this is a U.S. site. As you acknowledge that Malta is not part of the United States....

Go consult a Maltese legal resource or lawyer.

What? It would have been more helpful to simply guess at the law for Malta?

We don't know Maltese law. Our opinion means nothing.

Your attitude doesn't help you in your search.

    Good luck.

Yes you were. It's not our fault you opted not to pay attention.
