Information about the I-485 "Dallas Pilot Program"
I ran across on their website what they call a Dallas "pilot" program that facilitates condensing and finalization of everything in one day for the filing of the I-485 AOS. Has anyone tried that? The region I live in, from what their vauge website indicates, if the redundant biometrics and then interview is in fact required at this region's headquarters, that would involve TWO 14 hour driving trips to New Orleans. When I started this "venture", the understanding was the fingerprinting was just a routine thing done at a person's local law enforcement station... Dallas, is only about 2.5hrs away... Am curious if anyone has taken them up on their "Pilot" program, and if so, what they experienced.

    Thanks!

Well, not yet... Only "formal" reply was that ONLY those in the Dallas Region could seek out to use that "pilot program"... Am formally requesting that my case be transferred to Dallas in hopes of going through this illusive "pilot" program. The political immigration "reform" pressures that have come to play recently from both the conservative as well as liberal sides for very different reasons/venues, I sure may have a part ( with some of the most rediculous laws being recently passed - no forsight or common sense), but something else seems to be up, totally unrelated, as a Sr. Congressmn's office staff that has been there for years, that had been providing assistance to Americans for years when problems with the INS comes up, without warning no longer has staff on board to assist with immigration issues. If I have any success or "enlightenment" regarding the Pilot program, will let everyone know.
