What's On Your Record After an ACD
My question involves criminal records for the state of: New York
Hello again,
I received an ACD back in August and the 6 month period is about to be up. I was looking up more information about the ACD and it said the arrest is still recorded by default. My question is does that mean people can still find that information out so i still basically had a record. I assumed that because i followed the rules of the ACD it was dismissed and my fingerprint were destroyed.
Re: What's On Your Record After an ACD
Generally speaking, an ACD will result in a record that shows that you were charged with the offense, that your disposition was deferred, and that your charge was ultimately dismissed. The record from an ACD, as I understand it, would be sealed and would thus not ordinarily be available.
