    Let us leave statute out of it for a second.

    These are the facts:

    You were pregnant at a young age - this shows the court that you actually need more, not less, adult supervision.

    You are on state assistance - this shows the court that you cannot support yourself fully. You're not taking care of yourself. And that's a requirement, if you want to become emancipated - in ANY state.

    By all means pay an attorney to tell you the same things as you've been told here.

    And where are you getting the funds to provide everything?
