Again, what IS the definition of reasonable time for a landlord to clear snow?
Also, not yet addressed, if parking lot during melt/ thaw becomes a sheet of ice and there is a slip and fall is that the responsibility of the landlord if it is in the lease they are to maintain walkways and parking areas?
For my rentals, it's based on the rule of the municipality, 12 hours after "cessation of the storm". I myself DO NOT, and I don't expect workers of mine (tenants included) to be shoveling in the middle of a blizzard.
BUT if I hire contractors, they can't get there, if roads are blocked, then it is reasonable to wait LONGER for them to get there.

as Mr. K stated, it will vary on the circumstances. If you want anything more than that, you would have to ask the judge of the pending case what his definition of reasonable is. In other words; it is open to interpretation.

again, interpretation and if there is any question of the interpretation of either party, they can always ask a judge.
Re: Missed Work Due to Landlord Not Removing Snow
Well, I had to ponder this thread for awhile. I guess I forgot this is a board in regards to law. I suppose I'm off base in my questions, I have no intent on suing so my issues would be better off asked of housing authorities in the local area. I apologize for forgetting the purpose of this board.
