Where to File for a Minor's Name Change

My question involves name change laws in the State of: TN or IN??

I have lived in the state of TN for the past 2 years. However, my custody agreement is from IN. Can I file a name change petition for my minor child in TN or do I have to go through IN courts? Also, do I need to have my custody agreement judicated to TN?

Is dad consenting to the name change? Sole or joint physical custody? Sole or joint legal custody? (I assume you're the primary custodial parent.)

Yes, I am custodial parent and I have sole legal and physical custody. Dad is currently incarcerated, but am anticipating he'll contest my name change request. I just am uncertain where to file papers? It would be much more convienent for me to file in TN, (Williamson County) where we live.
