Chief of Police Falsifying Police Report when Off Duty
My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Tennessee
My friend and I were driving on the highway when we got on our cars next to each other and slowed down when we exited the highway we noticed a truck honking and driving close to us. We both pulled over to let this guy pass and he pulled over with us. He went up to my friends car and showed him a business card which said he was the chief of police we both left for he didn't have a badge on him and no lights. My friend was later pulled over and taken to jail for reckless driving and speeding.
The chief of police's report said that we were at a dead stop on the highway and went to excess of 100+ it also said he almost hit him and fished tailed and almost caused several wrecks.
The only thing that was true was that we were speeding. Their was a camera mounted on the hood of the car which they took as evidence. We were out of the chiefs jurisdiction when we were speeding. How will this go in court?

If you were videotaping your antics and the police now have the video, have your lawyer obtain a copy of the videotape from the police.
