Child Neglect, DSS, and Child Support
My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: South Carolina
I was arrested a few years back for child neglect my charges was dropped last year. There is a final court hearing coming up Feb 1st, i was courted ordred to do some things one was pay child support to The Department Of Social Services, i had not worked since 98 due to the fact i was a house wife for 11 years, & finding work has not been easy. My question is if i move out of state & do not show up for this court hearing which is a TPR (termination of parental rights), what are the consequence's for me ? Keep in mind that my former crimnal charges were dropped & this court hearing that's being held on Feb 1st is a civil not a crimnal hearing.

Your consequences will be that you will lose your children. Are you willing to live with that?
