How Long Does It Takes to Obtain My Spouse Visa for a Tunisian Citizen
Hi everybody, I'm gonna make my story short ;well I'm a Tunisian citizen and my husband is an American he used to work in the Marines and now he's a sergeant in police department, and as all of you know that now in Tunisia we have instability because of a revolution going on that override the president. So if u allow me please I have three question to ask. First, does my husband's job as an officer can be a bonus to accelerate the process for obtaining the K3 visa knowing that he filled for it last December? and if yes how long probably would takes? and Third, does the unrest in my country now would affect the time frame of the whole process? Thank u all for taking the time to read my post and please answer me cos we are really worried that we may be separated for a long time.

For Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), you can visit the USCIS website for the status of your petition.

Once your case has been received from NVC by the U.S. Embassy or Consulate that will process it, the length of time varies from case to case according to its circumstances. Some cases are delayed because applicants do not follow instructions carefully or supply incomplete information. (It is important to give us correct postal addresses and telephone numbers.) Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant's interview by a Consular Officer.

Five to eight months would not be unusual.
