Petty theft with priors

my boyfriend got arrested for pety theft w/priors (666) awile ago.he has hired privet counsel but the judge wants to give him 90 days.Do you think we have a chance to get this reduced?If he does get 90 will he do 90?or is there good time?

If your private council will speak to the DA it might be lessened with probation time. If you think he can stay away from breaking the law for at least 3 years, probation sounds better to me.
