Can I Stop the Electric Company from Spraying Herbicides
My question involves an easement in the state of: Pennsylvania

I recently purchased a home on a lot with 3.5 acres. The electric company has a residential distribution Line that runs from the front of my property through and out the back. The line does run through a very small stand of trees next to a pond.

This past summer they came in and cut the trees back (no big deal). I saw a notice in the local paper stating to all property owners that have rights of way with power lines that they would be coming through and spraying herbicides. My children play along the right of way not to mention it contaminating my pond.

What rights do I have to stop them from spraying?

This is a deeded right of way? If so, what's the exact language of the granting deed?

They can spray .. if they spray onto your property & cause provable damages, then sue. Take pics before they spray !

Talk with them. Power company foresters are almost great guys who take a ton of abuse. Express your concern. However, they'll probably tell you that they just use a product that is essentially round up. Driving the kids to the store is probably more dangerous than exposure to round-up in conformance with the recommendations in the MSDS.
