How to File for Garnishment of Wages for Non Payment of Spousal Support
My question involves divorce in the State of: Ohio. after just 5 months since our divorce judgement entry, my ex spouse has stopped paying court ordered spousal support. He is now 8 months in arrears I have already filed a motion to show cause with the courts and have a hearing in January. I am anticipating that he will either not show up in court at all, or he will claim he has no money. However I do know he is currently employed. It is clear that he has not paid so I am trying to find out what I will need to file after he is found in contempt in order to attach his wages for the support arrears and the continued support judgement. From what I can gather, I will need to file a motion to enforce judgement entry and/or somehow file for garnishment of wages but I cannot find the necessary forms. I am trying to file the proper paperwork on my own. I cannot afford an attorney at this time. I just need to know what I need to do to actually collect the monies owed from him. I am in Cuyahoga County in Ohio. Can anyone point me in the right direction in order to file the necessary paperwork? Any help would be appreciated.

Try asking the court clerk's office if they have a standard form petition for period wage garnishment, and a standard order for wage garnishment. I don't see standard forms for that purpose for your state.

If your county law library has a practitioner's guide for collections practice or family law, it may contain sample pleadings.
