Can Collection Agencies Stop You from Traveling
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Texas

I purchased a travelling ticket and some other things using my credit card. Now I'm not in a position to pay.My credit card company called me and told that my file would be given to collection agency. Now my concern is....is there any way that collection agency can stop me from travelling at the airport since I have purchased the ticket using the same bank.

Collection agencies are not the police. They may not stop you from doing ANYTHING.

Reread Missy's post. They can't stop you from travelling. They can't even recover merchandise you bought with a credit card. The need to sue you and get a judgement.

If they told you they could do anything other than bring a lawsuit, they have broken both Federal and Texas law and you may have redress.

if they suspect your intent was fraudulent, yes, they could conceivably reverse the charges for something such as your airline ticket. I doubt it would happen but it could. With an account this new, it is fairly obvious there was fraud in the inception of the contract. They can act upon that and mitigate their losses.
