Adjustment of Status from an A-4 Visa
I am an A-3 visa holder I have been to the US for 1 year now and on my I-94 it was said valid for stay till october 2012 even though my duty as diplomatic attendant is over since last june. My fiance is a US citizen and we have been going out before I came to the US. Now we want to get married but I have been told he can not apply for a green card for me because of my visa type. Please can someone help me.

As you entered on an A3 visa you will have to leave the country before you can apply for a Green Card. The possibility of filing forms I-566 and I-508 to try to avoid that appears foreclosed by your no longer being employed. I suggest working out a strategy with an immigration lawyer.
