Minor Misdemeanor of Possession. What to Expect

Ok..First off , i got pulled over for my lisence plate light being out. I was completly sober when the cop came up and asked for all my matierials.license etc, he came back up after checking it all then he asked me to step out the car and asked why he smelled pot and asked if i smoked. i responded and said yes but i did not smoke in my car latley . he asked what would give it the "pot" smell then. i told him i had roaches and a lil bud less then .3 g. since i told him where it all was he said he was giving me a minor misdemeanor and i have a summons to court. What are charges? what should i expect? this is my first time with a charge over 18 years of age. will this effect college loans and grants for me? i heard i wont have a criminal record. is this true or no? what should i expect going into court?Im also in ohio?what are their charges of possession?

Less than 100g is a minor misdemeanor which doesn't end up on your criminal record. Fine is $150 but there are probably costs added to that. I believe there's a license suspension involved (6 months). You're probably going to be OK on this one.

People who smoke pot tend to be oblivious that there is a lingering smell, it's even stronger than cigarette smoke and I can usually tell a car that has been used by a cigarette smoker. Lately doesn't enter into it.
