    Public Intoxication in Texas
My question involves criminal law for the state of: My question involves law for the state of Texas

I had a PI charge in Jan 2010. If I read it right it is Misdemeanor C. I wasn't sentenced to jail, no community service or anything, didn't see a judge, and had no attorney. I just paid a fine and that was it. It was my first PI charge. A police stopped me on my street and took me to the jail overnight because he believed I was drunk. He didn't do a breathalyzer or anything.
What does this mean? Can I get it expunged or is it on my record?

Re: Public Intox Question-- Can You
It means that you plead and were found guilty of Public Intoxication, a class C misdemeanor (given this record I assume you were over 21 at the time) and that you paid the fine issued as sentence.

You are not eligible to do anything with this record for until at least March of 2015.

There's not much you can do about it now. Before trial, if you'd not been drinking or otherwise impaired, you may have been able to have a lawyer provide a defense. The Texas PI statute is pretty darned vague.
