Probation Violation for Missing Meeting with P.O.
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia

    Hello everyone,

Three years ago I was convicted of a DUI and got about a year of probation, 40 hours community service, and various classes. I had pretty much done everything I needed to do but had a couple hours of community service left. I was on good terms with my probation officer and I had 10% of my fines left to pay. Unfortunately, I didn't have a job anymore and no transportation to get to probation. I ended up not showing up and I only had a month left. If I were to turn myself in, what would end up happening? Could it be possible that since I was such a good kid that the probation officer ended up considering my probation complete or does this never happen?

    Thanks for your time.

When you called your PO to tell him that you couldn't meet with him because you didn't have transportation, what did he say?

Yes, while PO's wouldn't be pleased if you tell them you can't get there because of no transportation, it's a whole lot better than just absconding. You need to call your PO NOW and beg forgiveness and ask what he wants you to do.
