What is the Emancipation Law in South Carolina:confused:
It is my understanding that South Carolina does not have an emancipation statute. You can try consulting a local family lawyer or guidance counselor at school to see what options may be available for you.
does that mean that if there is no emancipation status in south carolina that you cannot be emancipated even if your parents sign for it?
If there is no emancipation statute then there is no emancipation for them to sign for.
ok so im 16 and live with my grandparents in sc. i dont want to live here anymore and my mom in az said if your grandparents said its ok then you can live with me go to school get a job ect. i really think that if i moved that i would do better in school and get away from the people that i dont need to be around so life would get better. so i ask and they said NO! is there any way that i can get emancipated? or just leave?
