How Do I Return Merchandise to a Private Seller That Won't Accept It
My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Indiana
I purchased a boat that was advertised as an older boat, that ran good, needed minor mechanical work and needed to have the interior redone. Long story short - the engine blocked was cracked. The boat is junk. I disputed the charge through my credit card company and the the ruling was in my favor. I have contacted the seller and attempted to return the boat. He is refusing to accept the boat and informed me that he was suing me. This was over a month ago and I haven't heard anything from him. How can I resolve this issue?

just because your credit card company sided with you doesn't mean you had a legal right to rescind the sale. If the guy refuses to accept the return, you can either let the boat set where it is or take it to his house and drop it off (not a good idea to drop off your boat at some other guys house).
If the guy is going to sue you, he may just have not filed yet.
Your contract is still in force.
