Aunt Got a Eviction Notice, She Gave Her 30days,next Came a Notice of Entry
My question involves an eviction in the state of: CA
My aunt recieved a 90 day Eviction notice last week and she contacted the real estate office to find out why since she's been living at her apt for the past 8yrs and they told her they don't know why, but been a good tenant. They just said the owner just emailed her saying he just wanted who he wanted out. So she notified them a few days later and gave them her 30 day notice. The next day they posted on her door a Notice of Entry. Stating next week they are going to show her apt. Her move out date isn't till middle of Nov. My questions is can they do that since she is still living there and I thought they don't show the apt right before or after the tenants move. Also I thought the tenants have the right to know why they are getting evicted?

Landlords have the right to show the unit during the notice period, as long as they provide written notice of at least 24 hours.

It sounds like your Aunt has been living on a month to month agreement. The landlord need not have a reason to terminate the tenancy, so long as s/he serves proper notice.
