My question involves criminal law for the state of: illinois. a man who was more than 5yrs older than a girl he met claiming to be 18 now she is pregant and he finds out shes 17 is he wrong.(weigh in the fact that the girl already told the police she lied about her age to the male)

well she told the police that she lied because she wanted to have sex with the man. she has also informed several people that she lied about her age and that if he does happened to get charged she is going to tell the jury that she lied to have sex with him period point blank,that it was what she wanted?

If she is asked about it and does state that she intentionally mislead the defendant, that will not necessarily help unless there is a sympathetic jury member or two. Even then, proper jury instructions would negate any benefit from it.

so should the man worry about the possible charge even though he truthfully did not know she was lying about her age. if would seem rather strange if he had to be charge for being mislead.

No.
Age of consent laws are meant to protect young people from grown adults who ought to know how to practice a little bit of sexual self control. They're also meant to protect grown adults from manipulative teenagers, but still require that the adult practice common sense and keep-it-in-your-pantsism.
