Knock off the textspeak. You're speaking with adults here.

I hope he gets 20 years. He had NO business with a 16 year-old CHILD, and your mom should be charged with failure to protect if she approved this.

Leave him alone. He's in enough trouble as it is.

You're going to wait 20 years for him? Are you nuts? Oh, no, wait, you're 16.:wallbang:

He's likely looking at jail time, yes. He needs to speak with an attorney, and you need to keep away from each other. Your mother may also find herself subject to criminal charges and penalties.

You're obviously not the first and you likely won't be the last.

Get into counseling, and get on with your life.

    If you've had a sexual relationship with a 27 year-old man, you aren't fine.

The judge in your now-ex's case of course won't comment on anything concerning your Mother.

That will be down to CPS and the authorities.

What do you think a 27 year old sees in a 16 year old?

    Seriously?

    That's a rhetorical question.

Because a CHILD who needs to get into a relationship with a man who could be jailed because of his actions is thinking only of herself. A very high percentage of such children are looking for a substitute for their father. And maybe a counselor would help you discover why you let yourself be taken advantage of by this man.

If you cared about him that much, you would have waited until you were of age.

There was another young girl like you who just didn't get it, please read her posts and my posts telling the truth about how Florida treats sex offenders. Although my son was younger, and was lied to about the girl's age, your BF's life will likely be like my son's.

He probably faces the same heartache and issues with a sex offender list and all that crap. I think 20 to 16 is a lot different then 27 to 16,many times a 10 year difference can up the charges. In general the da,public and judge is gonna look at this guy a lot worse in their eyes .The age difference might make the time spend in jail a lot different and the chance for probation very unlikely. The 27 year old is gonna be looked at as more of a straight up creep. I consider myself to be opened minded but 27 to 16,is just wrong. I think being older then 24 can give the person more of a penalty. The guy needs to shut up and follow the advice of his lawyer or if he can afford it get an excellent lawyer w. experiencing in this type of case. Just pleading guilty is foolish, maybe the lawyer can lessen the time he spends on the SO list,Fl in general is very strict. For the sake of yourself and his, stay away from this guy just to avoid legal trouble for either of u. In general it's a huge mistake to keep in touch w. this guy, just
