Ticketed for Fishing Without a License
My question involves criminal law for the state of: california
Got a ticket for fishing without license fg 7145 (a) and it was marked correctable. I was told that all i need to do was send a copy of my license to the court and pay $25. later i got a noticee of correction to change the court date followed by another notice of correction to change the court date again and also to change the ticket from correctable to non-correctable. i had gone to the court after i recieved the first notice and they said they couldnt do anything because the corrections werent in their system yet. so now i got a letter from the court with a bail amout of $480.
i want to know if my ticket really can go from correctable to non-correctable and if i can get it changed back to correctable?
Re: Fishing Without a License
Are you stating that you sent in the required documentation establishing that you were licensed at the time of the ticket, but that it arrived at the court late? Or are you stating that you didn't bother to send it at all, and now the window for obtaining a dismissal based upon your submission of the documents has expired?
I suspect that you will have to go to court with proof of your license and ask the court to excuse your late submission of proof.
