    Caught Shoplifting from Winco
My question involves criminal law for the state of:

I got caught shoplifting from Winco and they gave us a billof 248.00 and said if we miss the frist payment or don't pay it they will issue a warrant! but they never called the police they just brought us in a room and got our ID's down and we signed a paper..
Can they really issue a warrant and arrest me???? Need to know if im good with out paying nothing and not getting arressted??:(

I havent heard of a store taking payments on stolen goods and letting you take them??

I would be interested what the $248 was for? the stolen goods? isnt WinCo a food store? $248 sounds like more then 1 full shopping cart of food!! was it for damages caused while trying to shoplift?

what was the paper you signed? if it was a confession and agreement to pay the $248 then you could be legally responsible.

WinCo cant issue a warrant nor can WinCo arrest you, what they can do is file a police report and the police might arrest you but I have no idea what evidence is used or would be considered a crime in your case.
