I am having something close to this situation. I have a sister (half) that will be 16 in a few months, her father is very abusive towards her and is not easy to get along with. My mother had a stroke 4years ago and he has placed all responsibility of managing her and the house on my sister. My sister has made attempts to run away. I have tried to talk to him to see if she can stay with me for a temporary trial period maybe inefforts to get her on track, as well as other members in my family. He has adimantly refused so much that our side of the family does not really visit. I have a brother going on 14 that does not get half of this burden in the household, not even a minor chore. I dont know what my other options are besides helping her get emancipated. She doesnt work because her father wont let her, so I feel that this is not even an option. What can I do?
