Verbal Agreement Business Partnership
My question involves criminal law for the state of: TN
I started a verbal agreement partnership with another person. I provided 20,000.00 for startup. Various electronic equipment and vehicles were purchased. He was given these only for business purposes. He also put 10,000.00 in a safe at
his mother's house. I have asked for the 10,000.00 but he refuses to give it to me. I assume he has ended the partnership because of his refusal. He refuses to speak to me. I would like to know my rights, if any. There is recorded video of the bank transaction and this includes knowledge by the bank that this was a business partnership. Verbal only as I said.
Also, we purchased an iphone and ipad for him to use in the business. I have asked for these back but he refuses to give them to me. They were
purchased in my name with my credit card. If he doesn't give these items back can I consider them stolen property and how long does he have to
give them back before I do consider them stolen property?
He also hacked into my email account and deleted some of my emails. He got on my computer when I wasn't looking and stole the password. I have filed a police report for that.
Re: Verbal Agreement Business Partnership
If you want to end the partnership, go to the person and state that you're ending the partnership.
You can consider the items used for the business "stolen", if you want, but the police will correctly regard it as a civil matter. If he owes you money or business assets and refuses to return them, you can sue him.
