I just got a possiossion of marijuana ticket 3 days ago by sheriffs. The ticket says 'Driver in possession less than 1 ounce marijuana(I only had about 3 or 4 bowls on me.) Im 20 living in los angeles area and its my first offense. My court date is on august 1st. I asked some friends around they said they can take my license away/fine/and take NA classes. What do u think they will do to me?

okay hopefully i can qualify for the diversion program. how much will it cost me for the program? My court date is on august 1st it sucks cause i turn 21 in september. Theres a church down the street from my house and they have NA meetings. do u think it will help if i go to court and show the judge that i went to 10 NA meetings all by myself (hopefully it shows that i have willingness). ???
i also talked to my friend and he said his doctor can get me a marijuana license and he will also date it back before i got caught. i got ticketed on june 1st and he will date it back to april, so it says that i got it in april. Do u think he will dismiss it if i went to court and showed to judge my marijuana license???
Consider hiring a criminal defense lawyer. Think twice about submitting fake documents to a court.
A lot of courts are balking at these medical marijuana licenses because they contain NO information that can be verified and they are easy to falsify. Plus, as Aaron mentioned, you do not want to bring false documents to court! If you do, you will turn what is effectively a glorified infraction (fine only) into a potential felony!Quote:

Yes your right. It would be unethical and unwise if i did that cause if i got caught in be in far more serious legal trouble than I ever would be for just being in the car with a bit of pot. Im not worried about the fine and getting put in NA meetings because money isnt the issue. The thing that bothers me the most is them suspending my license....
I also wanted to ask if i went to NA meetings by myself before my court date and get signed papers from the NA meeting showing i went. Do u think he will lighten my sentence up???
