Petit Larceny of Minor in New York
My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
Today, I was caught shoplifting for the first time in a Kohl's department store. I was apprehended outside of the store by security along with my friend and we both cooperated and returned the stuff immediately. Our information was taken and our parents were contacted to pick us up. A police officer also came to get a statement. We were released to our parents but I'm wondering what charges I will face, if this will show up on my record/affect the possibility of future employment, etc. Any information I can receive would be great. I am fifteen years old. I believe that the charge was classified as a Class C Misdemeanor.

Read the sticky at the top of the forum.
You know, the one you ignored before you posted.

Oh boy. I thought kids were supposed to know computers.
A "STICKY" is a thread at the top of the area where you are posting. Once "Stickied", it remains at the top. It tends to hold very important/useful information.
